French investment company invests in abakus solar

The French investment company Crédit Agricole Private Equity (CAPE) participates with about 25 percent through a capital increase in abakus solar AG. The capital is taken from the Capenergie 2 funds, that was set up for financing projects and companies from the renewables sector. The other abakus shareholders, the management board and the Taiwanese corporate group AU Optronics, remain unchanged.

With the transaction, CAPE combines a dual strategy. First, the investment company increases abakus solar´s equity. The contribution is a solid basis for further international growth.    

Second, CAPE and abakus solar AG set up the investment company "abakus solar Power" at the same time. This company will invest capital into the photovoltaic expert´s project in future. Thus, the company gathers an additional momentum.
